Our Story

Christensen FamilyLazy C Beef is a product of the Lazy C Ranch located in Central Utah, which has deep roots in the cattle business.  We are a fourth-generation cattle operation. Now managed and operated by Scott and Amy Christensen and their children. Scotts’ grandfather was raised ranching and had the opportunity to purchase a small farm of his own, shortly after he married. He went in search of grass pasture, to be able to summer graze his cattle, on high mountain meadows.  Scotts’ father continued to build and expand the ranch over the many years that he operated the ranch. While working along side his father, beginning as a young boy, Scott learned how to work hard and raise cattle by watching his father. While growing up, Scott learned the ethics of hard work and a love for the land and animals, which has been passed down from generation to generation.  The family continues to build, expand and improve the ranch.  Raising beef cattle was the main focus for all those years, and continues today.  Beef has always been a staple at the ranch – raising it not only for ourselves, but also for extended family, friends and neighbors.

Lazy C steerWe are happy to continue to offer fine beef to our family, friends and neighbors, while taking pride in working hard to keep a beautiful landscape, rich soils and clean water on the ranch.  What sets Lazy C Beef apart is our high level of commitment to our animals and the grasses and forages that they eat.  Our  cattle graze as nature intended. Our cattle are primarily Angus and Angus/Hereford cross cattle which are known for their great genetics and characteristics of being excellent beef cattle.
